Hi, I want to replace the tap in my bathroom sink and fit a isolating valves at the same time. How do I drain the hot water supply? I have a combi boiler. Do I just turn off the boiler, turn off the mains cold supply then turn on all the taps in the flat?

To refil, turn on mains cold water valve, refill boiler up to pressure with filling loop, then turn on boiler?

Anything else I have forgotton?

Thanks David.

Turn off water and drain through hot /cold taps!!
No need to drain boiler!!

Tap water isn't conected to the radiator water.

Drain rads from a drain cock

dont't use these, they WILL leak

Many thanks, so my assumptions are correct then apart from the filling loop bit, I just thought thats for the CH system isn't it?

I realise I dont want to drain radiators or anything. I just dont really now much about Combi boilers. Im used to conventional header tanks and the like so didn't know if there was anything else to worry about.

Thanks all.
