Have an old solar heating system and the switch between domestic/solar is the above actuator, its a manual switch and normally when switched it reaches its open/closed limit and stops running, its just recently started to reach where it should stop and is clonking, so much that I have to turn the system off, this happens at both ends of its cycle, ie when I switch to solar or domestic.

Does this mean it has to be replaced, its an expensive item :?

If I have to replace it can I change it somehow to automatically sense the changeover or would this be a big job?

yes its days are over, the gears eventually wear and so it jumps before the end switch stops the motor.

Thanks for that, I thought that may be the case.

I have looked at the actuator and looked on the net for a data sheet, lots of drayton actuators are now clip on but I guess this one isnt.

Has anyone an idea how to remove the actuator as I cant see a way and if there is a replacement item now as its an old one?
