Has anyone experience of drilling and cutting marble worktops?
Her indoors' ex-partner was a martyr to d.i.y. (well I think he should be nailed up looking round here !!!).
We have a marble worktop that is 3/4" away from wall due to 3 water pipes (don't ask, I know you only needed one) and I want to drill and slot round them to push the top back to the wall.
My options are masonry, of course, and I have some t.c. tipped milling cutters, I'm assuming plenty of water will be required.

This is from an American site but it does show the type of bits you need.

From what I know you will need to take it fairly slowly with the drill and lubricate and cool the bit with a steady stream of water but the chart will tell you the correct RPM for the size of drill bit you use.
