earth rod

been looking at my incoming supply, think it is a tn-c-s, (looks the same as the pic by breezer in the sticky), does this system require an earth rod outside, or is the earth supplied

No earth rod is required if you have a TNs system, as the earth is supplied by the supplying authority, the main earthing conductor from/to your consumer unit, should be connected to the outer sheathing of the incomming supply cable below the suppliers cut off fuse.
Same for TNCs no earth rod is required, the main earthing conductor is linked directly from the consumer unit into the neutral of the incomming supply below the meter, there may also be a little sign stating "this installation is protected by multiple earths" (PME)
