Electric Fire problem!

hi everyone!

i have a problem with my electric fire...it used to come on then i think it would get to a certain temp and cut out, cool a little and cut back in etc!

but recently when i switch it on, it cuts out after 5 mins and will not come back on??

what could be the problem? any ideas?

Sounds like a faulty stat or thermal overload problem.
SOunds like a trip to the tip for the fire, follwed by a trip to Dyas for a new one!

Not worth trying to replace faulty parts if I sus out what's the prob... Yikes... Fires are not cheap
