I am trying to change my electric outlet (US). I was expecting to see three wires, but instead, I'm seeing five. The outlet replacement I bought has only room for three connections. What do I do with the other two wires?... Or, have I purchased the wrong type of replacement outlet?
I'm afraid I know nothing about electrical work, so please bear with me if this seems like a basic question.
I would appreciate any advice from an electrical professional.
