I want to buy some sockets for a bedroom. What is the difference between Single Pole switches and Double Pole switches.

Single pole = normally switches live

Double pole = normally switches live and nutral


what kind of sockets you looking at? standard ring mains I asume.

Cant think why you would need anything fancy in a bedroom tho...

Are they for like for like replacements?

and if you are talking about switches, most switches are single pole, 2way although 1 way is fine
