I have a large flat roof area that is currently fitted with mineral felt. I have noticed a few companies are suggesting the use of EPDM roofing in place of conventional felt. Some questions:-

1. Is this material as reliable as is suggested by these companies ?
2. Can this material be fitted reliably by DIY ?
3. Where's the best place to get the stuff if it really is any good ?

Last time I came across letters like that it was something to do with Norfolk-and-good, though I may be wrong.

Hi all

I have just got a couple of quotes for EDPM roofing and its working out to £60 per sq m fitted including a new base.( 14 sq m) Is this a standard cost? More importantly has anybody replaced their (felt) roof with this product and are they pleased with it?

thanks

I recovered my felt flat roof with EPDM flat roof membrane (one single sheet) and it was a doodle, full instructions provided on DVD. The lifespan and ease of fitting DIY sold me. www.rubberfix.co.uk
