Thats atrocious! Theres no overcurrent protection at all! (and of course its clear from the way the cable has been dressed in [or not] and the terminations that he doesn't give a ****). A none RCD way could be created in that board, all you need is a bit of BG busbar, then you can take the MCB off the RCD side, shorten the busbar there and move the RCD up, new MCB goes between isolator and first RCD, supplied by new bit of busbar, and your none RCD neutral block is already there in top right corner.

I assume that CT is the sensor for the zappi?.....

Have you a shot where the SWA enters the Board at the bottom?

I could understand, but not condone if only 2 neutral bars, but it's a high integrity board, there was a neutral bar no excuse. I don't like to see anyone get the sack just before Christmas, but that is gross industrial misconduct so his employer has every right.

What seems odd is you say he rung Zappi, so seems odd he would install without over current protection, maybe some thing we don't know about, ordered a bus bar kit maybe, and had intended to return and was only going to be temporary?

Even if it were a temporary job it is totally unacceptable. It’s disgusting that someone has left your installation in this dangerous situation. One of the worst I’ve seen for a while. I’d love to see the installation certificate and building regs notification for this.

If the certificates have been issued he’s committed fraud, and if they haven’t, he’s breached the building regulations.

Perhaps speak to citizens advice as to how to peruse this through building control and trading standards. You can not allow him to get away with this.

Whist this is certainly not something for DIY, Artisan Electrics on youtube have done plenty of recent videos on zappi installs.
