Hi Guys....

i have a garage 1.5m away from the house, would it be possible to extend the ring main (from a socket in the old coal shed attached to the house) to the garage, around the garage (2 or 3 sockets) and then back to the house? i have 2 runs of armoured cable (2.5mm) to the garage and back... and i want to get the garage wired up before connecting into the house.

creating a radial circuit from the fusebox (old house) is not an easy option as its at the opposite side of the house.

anyway is this something that can be done? is it safe to do?

Thanks

Steve

What are you planning to use in the garage? Would a spur from an FCU in the shed cope with the load?

Do you have an RCD on this circuit?

Are you aware of the regulations for burying the SWA cable?

How do you plan to terminate the SWA and join it to the T/E of the existing ring final?

Are you aware of the requirement to notify LABC of this work in advance?
