How easy/difficult would it be to extend my wooden garden shed, its an 8ft x

6ft apex roof type, it would have to be extended the 8ft long way and at the

rear end, (not the door end) to be extended to approx 11-12ft long.

I'm fairly handy diy'er.

Problems I foresee would be the joining up of the sides and roof.

you will need a "A" frame at roof height at the joint to support the roof and hold the walls from spreading
you could possibly use an additional bit of 2x1"to secure the old to new and help support the "A" frame

With another shed the same or built from scratch? Should be fairly straightforward anyway. Keep a few lengths of 3 or 4x2 handy and you'll soon figure out where it needs strengthening.

Get some coach bolts to fix them together via the frames.

Butt the roof up and felt over the join.
