External door help required please

Just had a new external side door and frame fitted. The door is veneer. The problem is the chippie reckons there is no way to solve a problem with there being a gap at the bottom, which blows a draught in. He reckons the only way to seal it would be to fit a brush to the bottom of the door. I cannot see this being correct. Can anyone advise please.
 
Frame and door should be matched so no trimming is required and you get a good fit, any insulation strip fitted? was door trimmed at all?
 
Hi thanks. The door was trimmed at the bottom and there is a strip in the "step" which the door sits over
