The previous owner has left rather large holes in the walls of my flat where he has put up pictures and used rawl plugs and screws. Some of these holes are quite large one inch radius doe to the previous owners bodging.

The wall has been lined with lining paper and this paper has been painted. The finish is quite good so I don't really want to have to take the paper off or line over it.

I want to repaint this room and so want to know the best way of going filling these holes. Any ideas?

Thanks

Apply polyfilla with a filling knife. Allow to dry and lightly sand to feather the edges. Then paint as normal.

What he said...plus..sand around the edges first to remove any furing from the paper...this is difficult to sand down and get a nice crisp finish once the filler goes on.
