Hello all, the existing door is rebated on the bottom to fit over a 8mm lip protruding up from the existing threshold. If I fit an aluminium threshold strip, do i have to remove this metal strip from the existing threshold or does it sit under the new one. If you need to remove it, any tips on how! Thanks

the strip is held in by the side of the frame
i f i had to remove one assuming its sturdy metal and not plastic
i would drill a hole in the centre for a bit off wire like a coat hanger
open out feed through hole twist back to a loop
give it a firm pull cut a slot with a hacksaw
pull to bend a bit more cut pull cut pull untill seperated or its out
