Flag pole bracket fixings

Had a flag on front of property for 18 months. Noticed this week the bracket was coming away from the wall, obviously i assume due to strong winds in this area(Cumbria). The hole i drilled for the rawl plugs had got bigger, so they have become loose. The outside wall has a layer of render on it.

What can i use to fix it permanently? Cheers for any replies.

bigger fixings.

Although looking at the bracket, if your in a windy area a more substantial one may be better, or drill out the holes in yours to allow bigger fixings.
I would drill at least 100mm holes using nylon wall plugs and 6mm screws to get the best fixing.

Wind on a flag will exert considerable leverage. That will be reduced if you can connect the top of the flag pole to the wall via a wire cable.
