Flue Fan - Noisey

Hello All.

My Ariston A23 Combi boiler has started to make a rattling sound coming from the flue and it's fan.

It doesn't happen all the time but just very annoying when it does.

Is this a simple fix of removing the flue 90˚ pipe and cleaning it out please or is it something more serious please?

I've tried to attach a short video, but an image only available.

Working on gas boilers isn't a diy job, it can be dangerous and illegal. Get a gas safe registered person to investigate.

It is very likely that a noisy fan will need to be replaced with a new one.

Some firms do recondition fans although the quality of their work varies very widely.

One of the best firms was sold about a year ago and I do not know if the purchaser is doing a good job or not.

It'll be simple enough for a Gas Safe Engineer to fix as the Boiler needs to be checked and tested to ensure safe operation after the work is carried out.
