Hi all,

I've had some flush windows fitted and asked for window restrictors to be fitted.

The windows have been fitted with no restrictors. The windows company have said they can fit restrictors but will have to change the hung type on the window so it will no longer fully open to clean (when you press the button and slide the window to the middle at 90 degrees)

Can anyone suggest window restrictors that are low profile?

I'd rather not have the restrictors you fasten on the frame,

Thanks

The building regs for upstairs state that at least one of the windows are designated as a fire escape window so cannot have restricters. As far as I know there is no restrictor hinge that can fit on either of your windows because of the fire escape/ easy clean hinge system in situ. Hope this helps.

It's for safety, should a child open the window so something that can be unfastened by an adult if you know what I mean

Hi Mallyo, thanks that’s better. Ask your fitting company to change them over there’s a hinge that is a restrictor hinge that has a release catch so if you want to clean them you can and also let’s the window open fully if you need to get out. Hope this helps.
