Cars are not meant to stand idle for weeks, your battery was probably low and the stop-start routine finished it off.Why didn't you give it a good warming run before the first stop?
Best is to charge the battery before spending any money.Clean the terminals on leads and battery. If that doesn't help, look to getting it tested. If ok,check for corrosion on starter leads.(do it anyway)Starter replacement next.
Post with progress.

It could be either bat or starter motor, PS when you got back home did you turn off the engine then start it again, ? if you did and it started then it was a low bat or the starter was jammed ( or on it's way out ) if it didn't start but just clicked then you need to check for loose wiring on the starter motor, if all's well then you need a new starter motor. ( scrap yard for a starter motor ) ;)
