I have recently moved into a new house and my Gainsbrough 8.5 Shower is dripping. I bought a new shower head (universal one) as I thought it may be this. But when I removed the old shower head it drips from the part you connect shower head too. I have took shower off wall to see if anything can be tightened to stop this. As it seems to be letting a slight amount of water through and dripping every 10 secs. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Electric showers are potentially lethal, so please don't fiddle with it unless you really know what you're doing (which it doesn't sound like ...). If the unit is quite old it might not be worth trying to repair since new showers are fairly cheap. Problem may be a solenoid valve not closing properly (damaged or dirty seating).

As far as I know the woman who owned the house before us fitted the new bathroom 3 years ago. Is that classed as old with a electric shower? Won't getting one fitted cost a lot though with a good plumber?

No we do not know much, but unsure if a plumber could fit it or would it be cheaper to buy a new one?

Thanks,
