Garage door brick work width

I want to fit a garage door into my new build. The door I want to get is 2080mm wide. Do I make the brick work exactly 2080mm or should I make it a bit smaller for assurance e.g. 2070mm ?

You need to check with the manufacturer/supplier, to find out if the width quoted includes the frame, and what sort of allowance to make for fitting it. They may suggest and nominal 10mm extra to the combined door+frame to allow for flexibility in getting it in.

If you make you're brickwork smaller, then you'll never get it in.

You can fit up-and-over doors on the back of the opening if you needed to

most sectional doors fit, behind the opening nowadays anyway
