C4 managed to come up with some footage of bangs actually in Israel as result of the strikes Shot down style, often happens in Ukraine or direct hits. No way of telling.

They also mentioned more Israeli bombs hitting Lebanon.

Nothing on Israel's response some wondering if Biden will say don't again. US announcements expected shortly.

I expect Israels response will be before Biden has a chance to comment. Chatter is they'll go for the top brass, the Ayatollah no less, wouldn't surprise me if they took out their nuclear facilities at the same time.

Depends. It seems Iran does have useful air defences so their usual attack method may not work out.
Another wait and see.

The USA will wade in soon.

The last time the Israeli military had boots on the ground in Lebanon was a debacle.

That campaign – code named Operation Change of Direction – resulted in what the commission dubbed a failure. “All in all, the [Israeli military] failed, especially because of the conduct of the high command and the ground forces, to provide an effective military response to the challenge posed to it by the war in Lebanon,” it said.

Lebanon is very different to Gaza.

Gaza is a strip of land with a million or so poor people and mostly under 30

Lebanon has a military and it has open borders so arms, fuel etc can be re supplied.

True, but Hezbollah has been weakened more substantially than they were 20 years ago and their comm-network has been badly damaged - howevr, they still have 3,000 elite fighters who know the region well and are supplied with excellent weapons, are highly motivated and ready to make the IDF pay dearly for any ground incursion. Netanyahu is sending in the 7th armoured brigade which fought in Gaza and will be prepared to carve a swathe through any resistance, so the casualties will be high on both sides. Support in Israel for the war is good at the moment but the IDF will have to move fast to maintain morale and public support. As the Russians are finding out in Ukraine, you can plan to fight a short war but must prepare to pay a high price in the long run.

Not sure Labanons military will be involved at all, thought I saw footage of Lebanon military evacuating yesterday. Remember Hezbollah is a very separate entity to the regular military and Lebanon has no control over Hezbollah, in fact the reverse is true.

The USA will wade in soon.
As in the UK election it will split the US population and affect the incumbent POTUS popularity, hence the Trump boost.
So Israel had to provoke Iran into direct action before the POTUS election for two reasons, a) because if KH wins, Israel will no longer enjoy the most US support it's had ever, and b) any war, especially in the Mid East will negatively affect the incumbent POTUS popularity, hence reduce KH's chances of winning, thus Trump will gain a bounce in the election. What Israeli PM wouldn't want a Trump POTUS.

Israels Iron Dome working effectively to reduce the Iranian missile attack to more of a glorified firework display than a lethal threat.
Although the Americans and British had to pitch in to help.
No point in wasting millions on missiles that can't land a punch.

I don’t like trump he is a fruit cake

But Blame Europe for some in the US opinions on nato

Why should Americans constantly send there sons and daughters to risk there lives for Europe ? And European problems

Europe could not sort out a p*** up in brewery
Hopeless mob / waste of space
And ironically people hate the idea of a European military.

But recognise we are a small minority force on our own. We need nato.

Hezbollah is deeply integrated into Lebanese government / politics.

It’s going to get messy

Not really true.

America has always wanted to be the worlds “peacemaker” and it spends loads on its military because it enjoys being a superpower

When has America risked lives to protect Europe? All the American wars like Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan have FA to do with Europe and everything to do USA meddling

Putin invading Ukraine is a global problem not a European one
