Hope someone can help with this...
Is there any problem with having all central heating fitted with 15 mm pipes. All my downstairs pipework is 15 mm ( 7 Radiators)
I need to add 2 more upstairs (total house 9 rads).
Can i just tee off with 15 mm pipework and add these with no problems or should i make this run 22mm and tee 15mm of them to Rads?
Also will it adversely affect the system if the run is in 22mm.
Rerunning the downstairs in 22mm is not really an option without major upheaval !!

I would think you would get away with it
Have you considered using 10mm tube.

no I hadn't considered 10 mm tube .I guess you mean plastic ?
I figure that as the rest of the system is all 15 mm adding 10mm to the fray would produce unacceptable levels of noise due to the small bore the water has to force itself through.
It would sure be a lot easier just to do the run in 15mm. I was just curious as to weather this would be noisy and/or too much for the system.
I have a Potterton suprima 50,000 boiler. Pretty good it is too.
Thanks for the reply mate.
