Hello all
Can someone post the wiring required for an outside halogen lamp with built in PIR and to have an overide switch to manually turn the light on and off have lost the diagrams for the light...Have a feed at present to the light so light works off of PIR but want an overide switch as well.. Cheers All

depends on light really, some (not all) if you switch light on / off quick it will stay on until switched on / off slowly*

* at least 10 seconds between off then on

I see Breezer could you give me the wiring for both situations ie for the switching you explained or to have a seperate overide switch, ther is a 4 way connector block in the light the thing is lost instructions so not sure how light/sensor works Cheers

If it was like mine (not much space inside it for wiring  ), there will be 4 terminals. live, switched live (switched by the PIR) and neutral, with an earth too.

If you want a manual override for the PIR, I think you can wire the override switched live to the PIR switched live (thus bypassing the PIR). You will need 3C+E cable for this.

If yours will stay on with a quick double flick of the switch, i would suggest use this feature instead (most have it, give it a try), since wiring the light how i have described may invalidate any warranty, unless this method is / was in your instructions.
