Have recently fitted a new Hotpoint washer/dryer in kitchen underneath the worktop and every time I do a wash my clothes come out of the machine covered in fluff. Once the clothes dry and we handle them either to iron or otherwise our kitchen floor is covered with loads of fluff. This is driving me mad as the fluff continues throughout the rest of the house ie: after the bathroom towels have been washed & dried the fluff covers the bathroom. Is there a problem with either the plumbing of the machine or could it be the machine is faulty.

Are you washing tissue paper in with your clothes by accident?

Have you cleaned the filters recently?

No, have been having the problem since the first wash of the new machine being fitted and the type of machine we have there are no filters to change. We are not washing tissues in pockets etc... but that is almost what it looks like. We have also eliminated the plumbing as we have been washing with the pipe over the sink and this makes no difference.

Have you been washing anything with chenille, perhaps? We washed a chenille jumper once and the fluff was EVERYWHERE for AGES!
:(
