Hi all,
my problem is with my Stoves Newhome 550HL gas cooker.
It's got an eye level grill which has suddenly started to go out whenever it wants to.
When it does this the gas just stops and the grill goes out.
This evening it's got to the point where it goes out every few seconds and sometimes as soon as I let go of the control knob.
Has anyone had experience of this or does anyone know what the problem is likely to be caused by?
Oh, and if I keep the control knob pressed in the grill stays alight.
Knob problem maybe?
Thanks in advance,

Slime.

The flame failure device is probably goosed, job for a gas safe engineer I'm afraid, not DIY.

Thanks for responding fella.
Tried grilling some bacon this morning & the thing behaved perfectly. Is this typical of the fault you're suggesting?

Thanks,

Slime.

No, once they go it is usually for good. You may be lucky & just have had a blip but it's unusual.
