HELP! vaillant boiler keeps switching off! PLEEEEEASE!

Hi i have a vaillant combi boiler i think the model number is vcw-gb 182e or 242e. It switches on ok both when hot tap is used or when central heating is switched on but after about 10seconds it turns on and the orange fault surpression switch pops out.


any ideas wot could be wrong?

i have checked the air pressure valve (at the top), water pressure. Just dont undrstand wot could be wrong the damn thing turns on but just doesnt wanna stay on!

Please help i'm freezing and have no hot water.

Though genralising, but not a boiler that is DIY friendly.

Would suggest you get an engineer who knows this boiler. The way you find out is ask him how the boiler works. If he can give you a run down on system sequence ( even though you may not understand even a small portion of the operate sequence), you have found your man to restore good health to a smashing boiler

You location would also help.
