Hello,
Can anyone advise me about the routing of a high level socket for connecting a wall mounted TV? Should I route the cable from the floor as a spur from the downstairs ring circuit or is it permissable to route it down from the upstairs ring circuit? The socket will be nearer the ceiling than the floor. Also is it advisable to route the TV Ariel cable in the same channel as the mains cable. Thanks Bigaljo1

I presume the TV will be downstairs?

If so, then it would be much better to supply if from the downstairs ring circuit.

You could extend the ring to supply an FCU below the TV at the same height as the existing sockets, and supply the TV from the FCU.

This will allow you to isolate the TV to avoid needing to leave it on standby all the time if you wanted.

The co-ax should be run seperate from the mains to avoid inteference on the TV signal. I would keep them at least 50mm apart it they are run along side each other.
