hi you bikers my wifes 50 cc honda sky moped broke down, it seems to rev up ok but the wheels aint moving woulld it be the belt or chain has come off inside the housing dont know whether to push it home the 2 miles and DIY or get them out to pick it up which will cost me more cheers P M

ive got AA for the car but never bothered to re new it for the moped

Maybe a gearbox problem? I guess that it would have an auto box?

I'm not familiar with these bikes, but is it not possible to see the chain on the back wheel? If so, a quick look will rule out that problem

Could've sworn my AA card was for me as the driver of any vehicle (don't know if it extends to bikes?)

Could call them on the breakdown freephone to find out?

what could be more simple.. fit new belt turn the key, press the button and it wont bloody start it turns a couple of times but no good there dont seem to be any adjustment for the tightening/lossening of the belt

thanks Nige F seems like ive flattened the battery trying to start it but it wont even kick start either so not the battery
