Hi. I havre just moved my hot water cylinder and header tank into the attic. Bought a new header tank to fit in the rafters and piped it up. No problem with central heating but no hot water at the taps. the bottom of the header tank is almost level with the top of the cylinder, wondered if this was the problem. any help and advice to get my hot water back would be greatly appreciated.

Could be, the higher the cold storage tank the better.

It could just be an airlock or a physical blockage in your pipe work. If you have used existing gate valves, they could be broken, giving the impression they are open but actually just the spindle turning.

Try putting a hose from a cold mains tap to a hot tap and see if this back pressure will clear an easy airlock first.
