Has anyone got any suggestions on how to remove a large area of cement on a sandstone wall of a building? The cement job was done by someone about 10 years ago. At best I can describe it as an area 2-3 metres square. It has been sort of smeared over the surface with lines drawn on it to represent blocks! It looks bad, but worse still I'm seeing little spider web cracks - like areas of damp appearing on the surface of the cement. So far it's been recommended to leave anything that seems solid and remove the rest.
