Tories getting ready to release so-called good news as a possible diversion from...

The debt forced on us/me the 150 or was it 200 deferred payments to the utility companies, we did not want it
but we are forced into it. (TBH, not 100% cert how it works but is it the firms put us into 200 quid debt and reclaim this in 2 or so years??)

Now there is chat about "500" and I hope this is not more forced debt. We are paying more than advised by our elec/gas co to make up for the 200.

I hope this 500 is not just targeted at the unemployed and those on so-called low wages that play the system to ensure they get benefits o top.

Then there is talk about the price cap being revised every three months - who do you think that will benefit - that right, the Tories' best friends and the
ordinary householders will suffer as prices rise even faster.

Why not announce the news today???

We've never borrowed any money whatsoever other than a mortgage and use CC's on purpose and pay off without interest - use these as we feel safer giving details of these rather than our bank account details plus consumer protection to 30k

its £200 "loan"deducted from your october [or next]electric bill paid back £50 a year from next october
Yes, it's like dealing with Big Sid from down the council flats - he says "You are going to take this loan whether you want it or not..." as well. What's the betting that after this windfall, the energy companies all make donations to the Tory Party?

Does Big Sid give out interest free loans that can be paid back over four years as well then? If people dont want it because they fear they may struggle to repay it, take the money, put it in premium bonds and draw it out at £50 a year for the next four years. They might even win something!

Thanks

So they add/credit 200 to our bills in Oct then deduct an extra 50 over 4 years?

The council tax so-called rebate, found out the other day we won't get it because of council tax banding the B;s

It's everything for those that hardly make an effort to work or work and can't be arsed to save etc.

Do you need it then? So those that live in band D houses and below hardly make an effor to work or and can’t be arsed to save etc. are not worthy of it? You are an utter cock.

today martin lewis actually mentioned that eventually if they cant get the £150 to to band "D" properties eventually they will just credit the money to the council tax bill -- and apparently it must be paid before October a comment he made some weeks ago

as i said before as a cynic i think we will get quite a big announcement June July time to add extra cash to temporary drop the inflation rate in September as pensions and benefits increases are based on the september inflation figure

The lower down the income scale one is, the more likely one is to live in a band A house, and the less likely one is to have excess income to save (and yo save you need more money coming in than is going out). I've had a few lads working for me like that (generally as labourers) who wives were also working (part time) and who were allays up for Saturday overtime. Far from not making an effort, they did, but saving was always difficult for them and I'd say that they weren't living high on the hog, just trying to give their kids a reasonable chance. The problem is that too many people read the garbage published in the Mail or Express and take it as verbatim. The big issue is a society in which suit wearing middle class tossers are overpaid for what little they achieve whilst being underworked, but the people at the bottom are often paid a pittance and treated like **** - by people like you
