Hi - I've got a 5 year old Ideal Combi Boiler (C80FF) which keeps tripping. I set it to come on and pretty much every other day it 'trips' so when I get in the radiators haven't heated up and I have to press a button which lights up to get it to start. Lately sometimes when I press the button it trips again straight away.
I assume its overheating for some reason but wondered if it was a straightforward thing to sort out myself?

Thank you in advance for any assistance!

Your light which comes on is a failure to ignite lock out warning!

It could be caused by many different things, faulty gas valve, fan, air pressure switch, ignition PCB etc.

All of these are gas safety parts and should be worked on by a competent CORGI registered engineer.
