Hi,

My boiler currently doesn’t always fire when hot water is called for.

CH works fine and fires up as and when asked.

The Boiler fires up for Hot water if the CH is on or has been on recently but fails to other wise or when the CH has been off.

When the tap is activated the Red LED on the DHW switch lights up and the system sounds like it primes and clicks as per normal just before the boiler ignites but doesn’t.

It’s almost as if it’s got getting the go ahead to ignite?

Any starting points?

Craig

I had a problem like that with a bosch boiler, turned out to be kink in the flexible pipe to sink, the tap was simply not turning on enough for the boiler to fire.

The issue is the same regardless of which hot tap in the house is used, so 3

A few more questions. When did it start or has it always been like this? When the hot water fires up after heating has been on is it actually hot? Is the temperature set correctly?

It’s in the last week we have noticed it, filling the sink etc in the day but having only had the house 6 months and the first time we haven’t had the CH on as much it could have been a problem the whole time. We normally run showers around the time the heating is on hence not being noticed before.

When the water fires up after the CH has been on or is on its as hot as we set it so doesn’t seem to be a problem with that aspect.

Almost feels like the boiler isn’t getting the go ahead to ignite despite being told to. Having looked last night when hot water is called for the DHW valve goes red led, then a pin pushes a micro switch which I assume should then send a signal to the PCB to fire the boiler as it’s confirmed there is a request for hot water and flow of water.

Having read all of them fully non of them seem to pin point the issue or state what the resolve was hence me having to start my own thread :/
