Hello All,

We have an Ideal Standard Dual Flush toilet, which is constantly leaking a small amount of water into the pan. Just a trickle, but definitely a steady stream.

When I lift off the top of the toilet, I notice a trickle of water is also coming from the "lever" attached to the float. Not sure if this is related, but it doesn't look right to me. I've attached an image for reference.

If I wiggle the float, the water coming from the lever stops, but the trickle in the bowl seems to continue.

Are these related? If so, any assistance to resolve appreciated!

I'm just waiting on the parts to arrive before I give it a go!

Can you purchase the black washer at the bottom of the flush valve separately? (the one conveniently in the picture above.)

Sure, but I'm not replacing that, hence why I asked if I could purchase it separately.

Apologies, your existing flush valve seems to be one of your problems and you were given a link to a new one. I just assumed you were changing it.

No I wasn't. That was someone else.

Ok.

I would change the flush valve rather than trying to repair it. There is link in post number 4 to the correct replacement.

This is a really really dumb question, but... The replacement seal... Which side does the clip go on? The flat side or the side with the raised edge?

eBay stores show it both ways.

The one I took off had the flat side flush with the flush valve, but wondered if that was just due to it changing shape over the past 10 years.
