indirect vented system help

I have just moved both tanks in the loft, using push fit pipe and fittings (any comments). I refilled both tanks but discovered a small leek from the radiator feed outlet. I have drained the rad tank again but can't drain the hot water tank. I opened the hot taps yesterday whilst draining down, before which I turned off the water supply and the timers for the heating, I haven't touched the boiler, nor have i had the heating on. I'm unsure around the pumps and boiler so don't want to fiddle without any advice that you may kindly offer.

After the down time already incurred I decided to repair the leak and fill both tanks. Turned rads and water heating on bout 20 mins ago, rads getting warm but getting no water from any hot taps. Should I turn the heating straight back off, is there a problem?

have you opened the gate valve to the hot water cylinder.

there could be an airlock in the coil in the hot water cylinder. Try opening any manual air vents on the cylinder piping.
