Installing a 3.5" disk Drive?

Hi, I wish to install a 3.5 Drive in to my PC as I have a lot of older stuff on disks that I wish to put on my pc.
Question is does it just get looped from the DVD drive or does it get plugged in elsewhere.
In the past ive ffitted DVD drives no problem but never put a 3.5 drive in,
Any advice is appreciated.

No, seperate socket on the motherboard for the floppy drive. Why not make life easy and get a usb floppy drive.
