installing a new panel heater

Hi- I'm looking to put a new panel heater into a washroom. The unit is rated at 240v /1250 W. What size mcb and cable do I need, and can I run it straight from the mcb board to a 13a fused switch ? Thank you.

The MCB should be a 6A one. No need for a fused switch just a plain double pole switch is fine.

Cable size depends on length of the run and any volt drop allowance that is already taken up in the supply to the board.

Thanks - I've just noticed a ring main spur nearby - can I run a 2.5mm cable from that to a dp switch to supply the heater ? This would be a simple cable run !
