ok........all replies welcome......

can anyone recommend a good slab insulation to go in a 75mm stud wall. Its between the kids' new rooms, so soundproofing would be a great advantage too!

whilst Im in, is there any requirement from building regs on door frames? i dont particularly want a 5" thick door frame, in a 4" wall!

Have you considered 50-100mm Celotex/Kingspan. Should be up to the job.
