Iron gas pipe in screed...

I have taken down a wall between my kitchen and a new extension. In the picture below you can see the DPC for the inner and outer leaves of the cavity wall that was removed.

Just under the screed you can see a black iron pipe with a rusty looking coupling. I believe this is the gas supply to the boiler and hob.

Is this corrosion something I should be worrying about? Would it be best to move this supply to a surface copper pipe whilst I have the chance and building work is in progress?

Yes. If you are having work done anyway, it makes sense to have it replaced avoiding further disruption when it eventually leaks.
How old is the boiler that is connected to it?

not a gas guy but isn't that a galvanised pipe? are you sure it's corroded?
