Hi all

the muppet "plumber" who installed the ensuite in our bedroom (before we bought the house) was rather "creative" with his pipe work.

We're now trying to rectify this bodge up but are faced with a problem.

The toilet and sink waste pipes from the soil stack enter the house at an interesting angle and need replacing, is it possible to separate a solvent welded pipe or should we just saw the thing off and start from the clean cut again?

any advice appreciated!

Impossible without damage. Be brave, hacksaw and new pipe, will be a better job.

Solvent weld actually melts the pipe surfaces so you will not be able to pull them off.
Make a clean start.
Waste pipe and fittings are cheap anyway :D
