    Hi All.

I am putting together a design, and I like to believe there is a way to make this flat roof look better. Any ideas please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Orangery roof.

They have a fascia with more detail.

You can create classical or contemporary

You dont need a lantern, just a flat roof, but finish it with an orangery style fascia rather than a flat conventional fascia board.

Yes, you can have a flat roof, with a false pitch (tiled) on the sides. My architect specified this for us on a large 7m x 7m extension. A full pitched roof was an option, but would have looked too overbearing on the rest of the house.

FWIW, I'd keep it flat. I think the geometry where it meets the garage, and then returns to meet the main house is too awkward otherwise.

Now, if I didn’t know you better, I’d think there was an element of sarcasm here.

Nope. Building has been done. Expert level achieved. Now on to making kitchen tables. Just one. Almost finished. Will post pics soon when the breakfast room is soon completed. Then on to the next skill to become God level in. You can't cage genius.
