I'm fitting a new kitchen, it will be 'U' shaped.

I've noticed in B&Q that I can use a 1000mm base unit has a corner cupboard if I use a corner post. But what I can't understand is, if I wanted to connect another cupboard up to the 1000mm to form the corner, how will the door fit.

The depth of a cupboard is 570mm, the other base is 1000mm wide, which means that the door section of the corner will be 430mm, but doors are 497mm wide.

I'm really confused on how these work. Any help will be much appreciated.

The 1000 unit is set away from the wall.

Mearure 500 along on the unit, fix the post on the mark, get it into position, then position the other unit to the post.

You will find that the dimension from the outside edge of the 1000 unit to the wall works out to about 1130.

Don't forget to line up the second unit, so the post lines up with the door and not the unit.

good luck
