Hello
I am in the process of replacing the cupboard doors in a kitchen in order to update the look.

The problem I have had with a couple of the doors is firstly when I begin to screw into the carcass it has become loose because the wood is not the best, secondly the person who has taken the old doors off has damaged one piece of the carcass.

My question is that currently the new cupboard doors have pre drilled holes for the hinge mechanism, I want to know what the affect will be if I decide to make some new holes further into the wood so that I manage to screw into some good bit of the wood??

Any help appreciated
