I am fitting a laminate floor in the kitchen and need some advice on underlay and insulation

The floor is currently floorboard with thin vinyl tiles on top, this is directly above a cold cellar, which means the floor is freezing to touch. obviosly i want to insulate the floor and reduce the drafts that come up through and around the floorboards.

the questions are

1 Should i remove the vinyl floor tiles before fitting the underlay?
2 Should i fit an underlay with a DPM?
3 What is the best type of insulation underlay i can get for a kitchen floor?
4 Will the clod beneath my floor make it warp?

Thanks for any advice.

Think your best bet is Timbermate Excell (thick insulating underlayment with DPM). Also best to leave the tiles where they are, the DPM of the Excell will prevent effect of possible sweating of the tiles effecting your floor.
