Lead flashing around my chimney

My lead flashing is leaking around my chimney and have been looking to replace this. Would I use: Flashing Tape or would Lead Flashing
be best?

A men, I install lots of cast iron roof drains and only use sheet lead for the flashing 3 ft x 3 ft x 4 pounds per sq ft and the drains I installed 40 years ago are still water tight in spite of acid rains pigeon droppings and exposure to sun / rain / Ice and snow

I didn't think they used Lead over the pond Sylvan Tieger, i thought it was all copper with you guys?
