Lead waste connection at the back of toilet pan

I am fitting a new bathroom but I have come across a problem, the waste pipe at the back of the toilet pan is lead, it goes through a boxed in section into a hollow wall turns 90deg to the left and is bolted into the soil pipe with 4 bolts, I have had trouble in the past stopping this connection leaking can I buy any plastic adapter to replace this fitting. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v503/suddone/pics017.jpg

Cant see pic, but can you not cut the lead and fit a multikwik pan connector ?
