Not terrorism, nothing to do with islam, nothing to see, move on, hopes and prayers, bumble bees, candles, all stick together, reassure the community, bring us more immigrants.

You have a very strange idea of what terrorism is.

Who says it has anything to do with Islam?

Nobody. Nobody ever says it. Move on, talk about something else.

Seems to have exploded in a hospital car park.
That doesn't seem a likely target.
Could be the device exploded prematurely, maybe en route to the intended target.
The driver of the taxi is in hospital but according to the police he hasn't been arrested.

    The timing was suspect.

  11. There are website forums with internet savvy people who specialise in piecing these events together before it gets reported.

Clearest version of the event so far is the taxi was hired to go to Liverpool cathedral (where there was a big remembrance service) . . . . The taxi got held up in traffic & the hirer asked to be dropped off at the hospital. The driver becomes suspicious & locks the passenger in the vehicle. BOOM, or maybe WHOOMPH, the remains of the taxi show it wasn't a particularly powerful explosion . . . .

When we know more, we'll know more. Rumor mongering isn't helpful and has a long track record of being wrong more than right.

The hospital is very close to the Catholic cathedral (from memory a few hundred yards) which is where, as Brigade77 says, the Armistice Day service and parade were being held. So possibly IRA, or ISIS? Somehow don't think it was anti-vaxxers or Extinction Rebellion!

It seems the timing on the bomb was suspect as well.

Yes, you are right. I wrote Catholic when I meant Anglican (oops!). TBH I know the the hospital is off Upper Parliament Street because I did a job there a few years back and walked down to the Pro cathedral as well as over to the Catholic cathedral in my lunch breaks a few times.
