Locked out of bedroom

Hello

So I have managed to lock my self out of my bedroom. I had a Yale lock fitted (as I run an AirBNB and didn't want anyone going in their when I was away).

The door closed behind me and locked..not a problem I thought..but the key won't open the door. The mechanism key fits and turns to the left but it's not enough to release the door.

I am not sure why I can do apart from get a locksmith? (I'm in Reading)
Can anyone help?

is it a rebated frame or just door stops
if door stops prise where the lock is away from frame enough to get a filler knife through to the latch then bobs ya uncle
if rebate you need too drill a small hole where latch is too insrt a screwdiver too push back latch

all cheaper than a lock smith
