hi ...in process of converting loft , prev insulation is rockwool .... now that i am gonna be flooring upstairs i was gonna leave rockwool in place ,not so much for heat insulation but for sound insulation between ground and first floor ............... and then put kingspan to eaves according to building code etc .
are there any probs with leaving rockwool between ground and 1st floor ... as far as electrics are concerned
(overheating etc ) or is the gen consensus that i should remove rockwool before laying new wood floor
thanks in advance for your suggestions ........

Shouldn’t be a problem provided they are continues runs. Run cable on top, not under insulation.
