Loft Insulation

Hi,

What is the best way to insulate the loft if we want to use the space for storage as well? I've read about insulating the roof rather than the floor of the loft but have no idea how to go about this. Can someone please give me some detailed advice? It's a Victorian Terrace.

You could cut and fit this in between your rafters , assuming you have no roof felt and then board over it:

Or this stuff is also very good and again board over it. Install this with a stapler or clout nails though and not screws as the screws grab the layers and bunch it up. :
